个人简介

张继元,男,19826月出生,现为西北师范大学心理学院讲师。2006年毕业于台湾辅仁大学心理系,获学士学位;2010年毕业于台湾辅仁大学师资培育中心中等教育学程(学校辅导),获出类拔萃奖;2019年毕业于台湾辅仁大学心理系(社会文化与谘商心理学组),获博士学位。

Events Coordinator and Administrative Assistant- Sierra Nevada College- Incline Village, NV- May 2018 to May 2019

  • Coordinated and managed a schedule of all on and off-campus events.

  • Responsible for writing and revising drafts of all event scripts, various fundraising appeals, office-to-donor correspondence, and newsletter items.

  • Managed departmental student workers including an office intern.

  • Drafted all office purchase requisitions and expense reports.

Crisis Hotline Volunteer- Tahoe SAFE Alliance, Incline Village, Nevada- December 2017 to May 2019

  • Served on a 24-hour hotline creating immediate safety plans for those actively fleeing domestic violence or experiencing suicidal ideation.

Teaching Assistant- Sierra Nevada College, Incline Village, NV- January 2016 to May 2017

  • Assisted two introductory English courses and two introductory Humanities courses.

  • Planned various creative lessons related to course work and student outcomes.  

  • Independently taught classes during professor absence (up to 2 weeks).

  • Corrected student work, provided feedback and proctored exams.

  • Created syllabi incorporating engaging, active-learning projects into existing curricula.


Substitute Teacher- Washoe County School District, Washoe County, Nevada- November 2016 to December 2018

  • Employed effective classroom management techniques in grades K-12 during teacher absence for classrooms ranging between 12-35 students.

  • Developed several teaching resources to keep students occupied with educational material in the event of student idleness.

English Tutor & Peer Mentor- Sierra Nevada College, Incline Village, NV- January 2015 to May 2018

  • Tutored K-12 students (primarily from English language learner backgrounds) and college students in grammar and reading in a 1-to-1 setting.

  • Created a program to connect the Sierra Nevada College Tutoring Center and the AVID program for Incline Middle School students to receive free tutoring services.

  • Provided meaningful feedback to peers on writing assignments.

  • Mentored classes of up to 7 students in ELEC 95/105: Strategies for College Success.

Activities, Honors & Skills

  • Proficient in both Mac and Windows OS and the Microsoft Suite.

  • Certified and trained in Mental Health First Aid (October 2017). Expires 2022.

  • Completed Tahoe SAFE Alliance Crisis Intervention Training (December 2018). Training covers providing services to victims of sex trafficking, sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse.

  • Licensed Nevada Substitute Teacher (no. 114352). License expires November 2019.

  • Certified AVID Tutor (September 2014). No expiration.

  • Graduated college Summa Cum Laude and a Valedictorian Candidate.  

  • Humanities Departmental Scholar Award (2018 and 2016), Sierra Nevada College.

  • Student Government Association President (’16-’17 and ’17-’18), Sierra Nevada College.
